The medium and art materials:

You can choose a painting which is one of a kind in either acrylics or oils on canvas.  I generally use cotton canvas stretched on a wooden frame.  You would determine the ultimate size of the canvas and see below “The process” for further information.

The investment:

  • When you invest in this painting, you will receive a piece of unique artwork that is of archival quality so your memories last a lifetime.

  • The investment of each piece of painting is calculated according to the material (acrylics or oils), size of the canvas (stretched on a wooden frame), complexity and time required to complete within a pre-agreed customised time frame.

  • The final payment will automatically include postage and packaging so that you do not need to worry about extra costs. At present I am giving priority to post paintings to customers currently living within the United Kingdom. But if you are living outside of the U.K., please message me via the contact form below and I can discuss options of planning your commissioned work and using the fastest and most reliable delivery service of your choice.

  • You have a personal choice of transferring payment into my account either by first a deposit of 50% then in full, or, over individual installments within a time frame of one year.

Ocean Wave Commission

Testimonial

“I commissioned Winnie to paint a picture of the sea, in memory of family holidays that we had visiting my grandparents on the Isle of Wight. In the room where I stayed there was a picture of an ocean wave. I am delighted as she has magnificently captured the power and peace of the sea, in excellent depth and vibrancy. Many thanks indeed!”

Winnie's Art Studio Commissioned Painting

Testimonial

“I was delighted to receive a beautiful “gardenscape” painting which my son had commissioned from Winnie. Following the sad death of my husband- a very keen plantsman and horticulturalist- I wanted to capture a weeping birch tree in a garden which he had planted over 40 years ago- a central feature of our small garden. The painting, which has an impressionist feel about it, captures exactly what I had hoped . It includes a bird bath which we bought to celebrate a wedding anniversary and the use of shafts of light through the branches gives a feeling of light and hope at what has been a difficult time. Thank you Winnie, for your artistic expertise; you are very talented.”

"Beauty from Brokenness" was commissioned after a tumultuous period following the pandemic where myself and countless others had suffered. Winnie sensitively and adeptly crafted the landscape of the sun, sand and sea that I loved which had been tarnished by so many painful memories on an island. The use of kintsugi and the wabi-sabi aesthetic allowed these broken fragments in the past to be reborn and revitalised into something even more beautiful than what existed before.

She had captured the darkness and the shadows lurking upon the waters that we all face in this world whilst balancing this with the glimmer of hope from the ambiguous sunlight: a sunset to the past or a sunrise to the future.

Though we are not immune to the storms and the ebbs and flows of life, through faith we have a bridge that leads to a spiritual realm beyond our world and understanding.

Thank you so much, Winnie. Your care and discernment with each brushstroke has truly created something beautiful from a broken past.
