As a renter in a city, I really wanted to find a piece of art that took me somewhere else and felt like it added personality to my home. Winnie's stunning coastal paintings are so transportational, and this particular one stood out to me because of the warmth is exudes along with its sense of adventure. It has this perfect balance of mauve and lilac sky with the white-yellow sunset which adds this depth that manages to produce a glow out of the driftwood frame. It's so timeless, it could be dawn or sunset and, as it's one of the first things I see when I wake up and one of the last things I see before I fall asleep, this timeless quality is very soothing.
I very consciously chose a frame that would hide any border of the painting, the effect this gave was that the painting is actually a window into this scene that captures the full poetry of movement from the ocean. It feels so close, like I could open the window and be right there.
It takes a very talented artist to take a coastal picture and inject so much colour and 'splash' into it, but still have it feel peaceful to gaze at.
This piece has flooded my small studio flat with colour and movement. It pops against the typical renter's 'magnolia' painted wall and just makes the whole space feel like it's caught in this beautiful sunrise (or sunset, depending on whichever you want it to be!)

“The depth of colour that has been used in Winnie's Hong Kong Skyline captures the vastness of the number of skyscrapers in Hong Kong. The chosen palette portrays the vibrancy of Hong Kong, the old and new. I enjoy the use of light and hopefulness you see in the skies. The buildings in the distance invite you in and evokes a sense of exploration, whilst the darker colours add an element of mystery and sense of reality, and perhaps the daily pressures, on the lives of Hongkongers and office workers. The contrast of dark and light reminds me that even in times of difficulty there is alway hope if you look up.“

“I attended one of Winnie’s art exhibitions and was drawn into her seascape paintings;they speak to me as ‘deep calls on deep’ and I am now delighted to have two of them hanging in my lounge. They add a sense of peace and calm to the room as well as offering at least for me a visual tool for meditation and reflection. Winnie is very helpful and efficient in her correspondence and I hope to make further purchases in the future, thank you so much.

“The scene over St Stephens immediately hits us with the warmth but also vibrant colours. Buildings in the painting are immediately recognisable and pop out as they sit under the orange and red glow painted by th sun from the east. We know immediately where the painter's eyeline was when she painted this.
The style and composition, with the magnificent church bell tower and dome catching the eye, evoke feelings of splendor and awe that God gives us so many colours in the natural world to constantly be surprised and marvel at.
Winnie blends realism with just the right level of abstract to make her paintings interesting and thought provoking.”

“I love the colour and style. It's as though I am on a vacation at Venice or Italy, looking out over the houses in the morning as sunset rise at Dawn. The sun ready to rise, God is breaking forth with light and touching the houses and the sky, bright, shining on a new day. Let God arise upon his people, bringing hope and peace.”

“We have been blessed to have Winnie’s artwork hung on our living room wall since the completion of our home refurbishment. Her painting of the St Stephen Walbrook Church with the sunrise background has bought warmth to our contemporary interior decor. The artwork has lifted the mood of the living room space by Winnie’s selection of vivid colors and the geometric skyline of London. We are very happy with the quality of the artwork and would recommend it to others.”

“This picture causes you to pause and savour a view of the St Stephen Walbrook and the City of London that one rarely gives opportunity to take in in our busy lives. Its vibrantly golden colours immediately catch your attention and slowly entice you to ponder longer at the contrasts and subtleties of hues and shapes. The warmth of the new morning sun gloriously breaks through and fills the vastness of the heavenly expanse. Its light invading and falling on man’s constructions, old and new alike, warming up the modern metal and glass panels and the historical stone walls and copper dome. A new day of hope has dawned again!”

One can see how her vivid works carry personal meaning behind them and enables the viewer to reflect on themselves and on God.
