Mount Fuji
This painting is one of the few abstract pieces done by Winnie. She completed this artwork by solely using a palette knife. Pastel colours were chosen to set a harmonious tone to this landscape image. She wanted to create a precious memory of Mount Fuji after visiting Japan during a trip in year 2019.
Fuji is composed of several overlapping volcanoes. The top two are known as “Old Fuji” and “Young Fuji” (Shin Fuji). Fuji has erupted at various times starting around 100,000 years ago - and is still an active volcano today.
Rising to 12,388 feet (3,776 metres), Mount Fuji is the tallest mountain in Japan and is known for its graceful conical form. It is the country’s sacred symbol, and temples and shrines are located around and on the volcano.
This giclée print is available in A3 size, on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper of 310 gsm weight and 0.5 mm thickness. Matt finish.
Upon receipt of your order, the giclée print will be produced and posted to your address (UK only) via Royal Mail signed for service. Please allow 24 to 72 hours.
