This painting is the 3rd in the series of “Vulnerability”. It was painted by Winnie for the art exhibition “Hope, Fear and Dreams” in London.
“In this modern-day society, there is a constant comparison between ourselves and others through social media. We tend to base our identity on what the world tells us. When there is shame, immediately after comes fear of being “exposed” or letting people know our true self. Then we try to control our relationships or friendships or life situations. We may look okay on the outside but we are frozen in fear. We need to get out of this cycle of shame, fear, control, rebellion and rejection.”
